In the west side of the island, on mountain S. Caterina, behind the Faraglione it opens the most interesting and most suggestive cave, it is that of the Ucceries or of the Stalactites. It enters you from a narrow burrow and him it goes down in a vast cavern sotteranea where million years have embroidered an imposing cathedral of Stalactites.
On the slope northeasts of the mountain are of notable interest the graffiti of some registrations puniche, accopagnate from representations of fishes, of the cave of the Well and the cave of the Ficarra, which succesivamentes became places of Christian cult; In particulary the representative graffiti the cross, recovered in both the caves.
For the lovers of this type of excursion it is essential a visit to Levanzo (see page of Levanzo), the smallest of the Egadis.

The connection among the islands egadis are continuous, therefore it is possible in whatever moment of the day to organize the trip.

In the cave-sanctuary dictates of the "Genovese" the rare graffiti of epoch paleolitica and neolitica can be admired, witnesses of a devoted community to the hunting and already then to the fishing of the tuna (see "Mattanza"). Dances tribal symbols of magic rituals are also represented.
