Your journey in Favignana must include a tour into the Sicilian cooking!

Enjoy couscous, an Arabian dish prepared with bran steamed in a clay pot: the Sicilian cuisine has replaced the original Arabian mutton with fish, spices and tomato sauce as the its main ingredients.

You cannot miss Spaghetti and tuna botargo either : spaghetti al dente served with virgin olive oil, tuna egg slivers and chopped parsley on top.

Try also tuna croquettes with tomato sauce and mint or the so- called “busiati al pesto”: fresh pasta served with chopped tomato, olive oil, basil, garlic and roasted almonds.

As you can see fish is the king of the gastronomy of the island: gropers, white breams, incomparable taste mullets and tuna of course. The Mediterranean Sea only can offer the so-called “Thunnus Thinnus”, the best quality tuna.

Don't forget finally to try the “cassatelle” which are fried ravioli filled with ricotta cheese and chocolate chips served with icing sugar on top. Enjoy your meal !
