Your journey in Favignana must include a tour into the Sicilian cooking! Enjoy couscous, an Arabian dish prepared with bran steamed in a clay pot: the Sicilian cuisine has replaced the original Arabian mutton with fish, spices and tomato sauce as the its main ingredients. You cannot miss Spaghetti and tuna botargo either : spaghetti al dente served with virgin olive oil, tuna egg slivers and chopped parsley on top. As you can see fish is the king of the gastronomy of the island: gropers, white breams, incomparable taste mullets and tuna of course. The Mediterranean Sea only can offer the so-called “Thunnus Thinnus”, the best quality tuna. Don't
forget finally to try the “cassatelle” which are fried
ravioli filled with ricotta cheese and chocolate chips
